Formed in 2021, The Turbulents are a Central New York based pop-rock band, with undertones of fusion and funk. Their current line-up consists of Devon Platzer (Vocals), Kyle Cushman (Vocals/Guitar), Dan Litavsky (Drums/percussion), and Wes Jones (Bass).

Band Members

Kyle has been an active member of the Syracuse music scene since 2016 and has been a side man for several bands, as well as the front man for the Sicks, and Cushman and Two Fine Gentlemen. He has also worked with SAMMY award nominated Matt Dunn band. Since then, he has been focusing his time on writing and recording original material. Taking a break from being a full time musician has allowed him to cultivate a creative network of musicians to help bring his vision to life.

At age 11, Wes started learning bass and guitar, and has studied music theory and recording for years. Wes was born and raised in Oswego, NY, where he had also established his name in the local music community and beyond. He has acheived two Associate's Degrees in Music and Music Recording Technology at Finger Lakes Community College, as well as a Bachelor's in Music at his hometown in Oswego. He has been seen across Central New York in bands such as Ethernauts, Lap Giraffe, and Four Square.

Since studying music at SUNY Oswego, Dan has been present in the Oswego/Syracuse music scene. From providing music entertainment for various events on the Oswego campus to performing with bands such as Mugatu, and Cushman and Two Fine Gentlemen, he has enjoyed playing in a wide variety of styles and settings.

Devon has been singing and writing songs since she was two years old, and performed live for the first time in the summer of 2019. While completing her degree in Physical Therapy at Nazareth College, Devon released her debut single, "Brix" in March of 2022, which has been featured by various media influencers including Roundhouse Music Blog. Since graduating in May of 2022, she has reentered the live music scene with The Turbulents.
